Group No.5 Chemical & gas resistance
① Chemical-resistant film
■What is a chemical-resistant film?
A chemical-resistant film is a coating film that have high resistance to chemicals such as alkali, acids, oxidizing agents, organic solvents, and salts.
■Main features
Since the chemical-resistant film improves alkali and acid resistance of parts to be coated, it is often used to protect aluminum die castings from corrosion caused by condensate contained in exhaust gas.
② Rust preventive film
■What is a rust preventive film?
A rust preventive film prevents a metal part from rusting. By covering the part with the film, the contact between the part and an outside environment is cut off.
■Main features
A higher grade that can be used for not only preventing rust but also improving the aesthetic appearance of metal parts is also available.
③ Gas barrier (gas shielding ) film
■What is a gas barrier (gas shielding film)?
A gas barrier (gas shielding film) is a coating film that prevents deterioration of a base material. By coating a base material with this film, permeation of a gas, such as hydrogen and oxygen, is curbed.
■Main features
*Material:Metal、Plastic(Resin)、Rubber etc
*Purpose of Use:To prevent corrosion and oxidative degradation, decrement of gas transport etc
*Use:Plastic (Resin) & Protective film for O-ring etc
④ Release film for rubber mold
■What is a release film for rubber mold?
A release film for rubber mold that contains a mixture of coating material and a substance with low surface energy prevents adhesion of rubber.
■Main features
Prolonging the lifetime of the rubber mold
Non-cohesive
⑤ Antibacterial film
■What is the antibacterial film?
Antimicrobial film is the film that has the function to inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface by coating on the base material.
■Antibacterial Film Applications
Applications: Areas where people are likely to have contact, areas where the growth of bacteria should be prevented, etc.
Applicable Base Materials: Metal, resin, etc.
